Busy Day

Had a good day. Woke up and had to clean the house a bit because ds’s teacher from our home-school program was coming for a visit. I felt sorry for her because all three of us were practically trying to speak to her at once. Both of the kids kept coming up and wanting to her show her this or that, and I’m trying to talk to her too, of course. Kinda funny. Ds wanted to show her our school room in the basement. I was telling her about our routine and she gave me some ideas to help with ds’s spelling.

In the afternoon we went met a new homeschooling family. We went over to their place for a play date. She also has a son who is 7 and a daughter who is 6. The children seemed tentative with each other at first, but by the end they appeared to have warmed to each other. I guess that it’s no different than adults. Hopefully we’ll meet up again.

After supper our neighbours came over for tea. Adrian and the husband are going hunting together next week. So, they had a little planning session with regards to groceries, etc. We always have a wonderful visit with them. We’re lucky to have such great neighbours.

And now I’m utterly exhausted and have no clue as to why I’m here typing and not off to bed. So, I’m going. G ‘night.

About Debbie

I am a stay at home mom of 2 energetic children. I homeschool them as well. I have a great husband who, after 7 years of working away from, finally has a job where he is home every night. We are trying to learn how to live together again along with adjusting to the lower pay that came along with the job change.
