I went to a work shop last year and learned about making a “Sound City”. It’s a program to teach phonics. I had visions of whipping through all of the phonetic rules quickly, but realized that the children needed me to go a bit slower. Now, I add sounds as they seem to come up. There is much more to be completed, but this is a good start.
It’s hard to see with the reflection, but, so far, we have up ‘O’ Street, ‘I’ Street, ‘A’ Street, and ‘E’ Street.
