O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

We went out with the Junior Forest Wardens today to cut Christmas trees for this year’s fundraiser. It was a long, but fun day. Adrian brought along his outfitter’s tent. We had a weiner roast, and there were even some chestnuts roasting on the open fire. Jack Frost wasn’t nipping noses today, though – it was gorgeous weather.

Some serious stick collecting discussion going on here.

All righty – this baby is all ready to be packed up and taken home.

About Debbie

I am a stay at home mom of 2 energetic children. I homeschool them as well. I have a great husband who, after 7 years of working away from, finally has a job where he is home every night. We are trying to learn how to live together again along with adjusting to the lower pay that came along with the job change.

That tent sure gets used. Definitely a good thing to have.

Lately, we have been using it more often. It’s much easier since Adrian got the poles made. We use to have to find logs to use instead.

The song “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire” – comes to mind – and such a festive scene too.
