Today’s Lessons

We used M & M’s in our math lessons today and the kids loved it, of course. They were learning about making equal groups.

About Debbie

I am a stay at home mom of 2 energetic children. I homeschool them as well. I have a great husband who, after 7 years of working away from, finally has a job where he is home every night. We are trying to learn how to live together again along with adjusting to the lower pay that came along with the job change.

A great idea for educating through toys and m&m’s. Its surprising how creative thought comes into play.

Your children obviously luv this idea too.

Just a question are m&m’s the same as “Smarties”? which I remember – too fondly – I hasten to add of my childhood years.

The only way to make equal groups are to eat some until they the two piles are equal. Eat one. If the other pile has more, eat one from there…and so on…and so on…
