Switching

I updated my About Me page, and now that I’ve gotten the photo thing sorted out I’m going to make the switch over from Blogger.

About Debbie

I am a stay at home mom of 2 energetic children. I homeschool them as well. I have a great husband who, after 7 years of working away from, finally has a job where he is home every night. We are trying to learn how to live together again along with adjusting to the lower pay that came along with the job change.

Where the sub heading has “just another wordpress blog’ – you can change this to put your own words in.

You may already know that – but just in case thought I should mention.

    Good Luck

I did not know that. Thanks, Peter. 🙂

When I get a moment I’ll check it out.

If you go into ‘My Dashboard’ and click on ‘Options’ and on that page you will see ‘Tagline’.

Delete the words and enter your own.

    Hope this helps:)

    You are welcome.

I am really excited for your ‘new blog’ and I can envisage even more exciting postings along the way.

Good luck and welcome to ‘wordpress’

    ~ The Bogeyman ~

    Through the dead of night
    Howling is the wind outside
    Trees swaying in the wind
    Branches crashing on the windowpane
As it to say “let me in”.

    Creaking of the stairs
    The banister sways by a
    Mighty grip of a hand
    That is unseen.

    Shadows on the walls
    Dance around the room
    Every closer to me
    Or so it seems.

The door to my bedroom locked
    And bolted too
For I sleep alone this night
    In such a haunted house.

    What happened?
    Window flies open
    So too a branch
    Crashing on the bedroom floor
    Wind blows out the candle
Now it is black around me
And I feel so very cold
    And oh, so alone
    Was that the door opening?

Peter – that poem is totally what I was going through every night a couple of years when Adrian was working out of town. Each night I’d hear things that wouldn’t faze me when he was home.

It’s a beautiful poem. Thanks so much for sharing it.

I am going to switch tomorrow after I post my Fun Monday pics. 🙂

    Thanks Debbie,

Such times as when one is alone at night, the mind can indeed be a measure of torment to each and every sound.

So pleased you enjoyed the poem.

Looking forward to your move over to the – ‘select’ section!! Far more appealing and less hastle from the maddening crowd!!
