Another excruciatingly hot day to contend with…

I’m constantly sweaty and sticky.  Lovely image, I know. 😯 We’re going camping next week and I need to pack but all I want to do is sit because moving just means that I’d sweat even more.

At the moment I’m at my parent’s house, though.  They’re away on holidays but I came to use their washing machine.  Or, more specifically, their water.  We have our water delivered since our well doesn’t produce drinkable water.  And right now our water is quite low.  We’re expecting a delivery tomorrow but we’re not sure at what time and I have lots of laundry to do for camping.

J and I are here enjoying their air conditioning while we wait for the clothes to be done.  I’m blogging while she colours.

She just came and announced emphatically to me, while holding out a crayon for me to see:  “THIS is my favourite blue, mommy”.  It’s the Crayola Blue-Green.  I love it!  These are noteworthy events in a child’s life.

After we’re done with the laundry and, sadly, the air conditioning we’re off to get the groceries for the trip.  At least the grocery store will be cool!

I’m sure glad our well is holding up for us. I wouldn’t want to get it trucked in all the time. If our well did dry up or become unusable, I would probably buy a big plastic container and go get it myself. I hear it is pretty cheap that way.

Have fun on the holiday. I would assume you have the neighbours looking after the place but if you need us to do anything let us know before you leave.

I know how you feel with the heat. Its like that here right now to although the last couple of days have been even worse with the humidity! Really hot and sticky and we don’t have air conditioning either so our house inside has been at least 85 for the last week….I’m really done with it. I’m not getting anything I need done here either it just makes me a bit nauseas to even move much around here.

Enjoy your camping trip! I’m a bit jealous….

Wow – the heatwave in Canada – is certainly staying put!!

The air con – is a great invention – a permanent fixture on such a day, pity about the laundry though – but one must in life 😉

How sweet of ‘J’, colours are appealing and how she was able to describe too 🙂

Would you believe Sunday was a really hot day here, and now early Monday moring and back to the rain 😥

Camping trip – do enjoy – remember to take extra ‘outhouse’ equipment for the bears 😉

    Thank-you, everyone!

Sirdar – We tried hauling it ourselves for awhile, but it’s pretty much all we did. It’s a lot of water! Of course, some people do it. 🙂
