Game Play

We had a quiet day.

We spent the morning playing this interesting game:

It’s got a nice mix of strategy and chance. It is a little long to play (a few hours) but we enjoyed it.

Games 002-1

After the game, Adrian went outside and worked in the shop, the kids did their thing, and I had some time on the computer. I read a few blogs…finally. Sometimes I feel guilty if I’m not reading and so I do so out of a weird sense of obligation. But today it just felt nice to sip my tea and delve into other peoples’ worlds for awhile. It was good to get back to what I found fun about blogging in the first place – meeting other people.

After awhile, Adrian mentioned that he needed to go into town to get some stuff; the kids and I decided to go as well. R wanted to check out a used video game store so that he could get a game for the Nintendo 64. We took J to get her ears pierced and then we rented some movies. AND Adrian didn’t end up getting the stuff he originally went into town for! He he he.

I was also going to say, I understand the whole concept of reading out of guilt and obligation and not because I don’t want to read or don’t find it interesting, just because I have so many other things to do, I feel like I need to be doing them rather than be on the computer, so when I read them I am feel more pressured to do it because I haven’t visited for awhile, kind of like when one has not called a friend in awhile and you do just for that reason, not that you don’t want to talk but you really don’t have time but you feel you have to because you haven’t for awhile. There, I rambled on and made a post of my second comment no less;-).
