Impromptu Bonfire

I’m a thief. I’m stealing these photos. 🙂 Dawn took them when she and her family (along with other neighbours) for a fire a couple of weekends ago.

We had a pile of brush that needed to go. We normally have a Guy Fawkes party but the county in which we live had new fire restrictions that prohibited us from our regular celebrations. They must have had a lot of complaints because suddenly they allowed smaller brush fires along as there was snow on the ground. We took advantage of the opportunity and invited the neighbours over to help us watch it burn.

It was a real nice time. And I appreciate these impromptu get-togethers because then I don’t obsess with planning. It was after supper so everyone just brought munchies and we were free to simply enjoy each others’ company.

All of this snow is finally gone now.
