Whew! That Was Close.

I almost forgot about posting today.  Not that anyone would have missed it, though!  LOL  Well, the six of you who actually come here and read might.

So, something short and sweet…

Rabi Shmuley on XM Radio said something interesting today about successful marriages.  He said that to have one it was 10 percent about who you choose to marry and 90 percent about what you do after you marry.  Yes, you have to have compatibility and chemistry.  Oh yes, chemistry.  But those things change and fade.  Good marriages, as we know, all have to be worked on.  No matter who you marry.  He continued to say more interesting things but…I had to get out of the van and get groceries.

That’s always the problem with listening to talk radio in the vehicle.  Just when I’m getting to the good part I have to get out.  Or, instead, drive round and round the block.

About Debbie

I am a stay at home mom of 2 energetic children. I homeschool them as well. I have a great husband who, after 7 years of working away from, finally has a job where he is home every night. We are trying to learn how to live together again along with adjusting to the lower pay that came along with the job change.

I hear you about the talk radio scene; how annoying. Also so true about marriage. Glad you remembered at the last minute because I wasn’t paying attention to remind you.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve sat in my garage after getting home and sit there listening to the end of a program I’ve been listening to for half an hour already. I’m a huge 630 CHED fan and it’s usually when Michelle Boden has an ‘inside story’ that gets me every time.

I often do the same as Joy and sit in the car listening to something of interest on the radio. I even had EmBee come out to see if I was OK and of course ~I missed hearing a critical bit!

I have to echo Chris… sitting in the garage and hubby peeks out the door to see where I am.

I wonder if the half broadcast I too listened to was the same one you’re talking about. I only tuned in for a short time due to a short trip but they were talking about a priest who preached one Sunday about marriages. From what I gathered, he gave issued a challenge to all married couples…that they had sex every single day for a whole entire week. Apparently, all the men present that Sunday dragged in all their buddies to mass the following Sunday for proof. LOL. I’ve yet to hear about the result but I thought it was ingenious.
